As we rode out of Pittsburg this morning, Jake exclaimed with glee that this was the first morning on our trip that we had started off without climbing a hill. It was quite flat and we had a little tailwind. Jake was ecstatic. He said he could ride to Colorado today.
At times we hit 20 mph. Later in the morning the winds turned into side and headwinds, but we still made relatively good times. The humidity was still high, especially in the hot afternoon when we arrived at our destination.
