Day 11
Cherokee Pass, MO to Ellington, MO
54 miles

We rode deep into the backwoods Ozarks of Missouri today. There is a lot of logging, a few small towns, winding steep, very mountainous roads, and beautiful forests. We rode through Mark Twain National Park today. Very remote. Many pine trees mixed with deciduous trees.

It was hot and humid and very tough going. Jake questioned whether to give up, it was so tough. But, by the end of the day, he is ready for another day in the saddle.
